Today at 19:00 at Simply 33 we’ll gather to determine the strongest player in our community!
Here’s the full format so everyone knows exactly how it will work.
📌 Tournament Format
- 10 players are participating.
- We split into 2 groups of 5.
- Everyone in a group plays each other once (minimum 4 matches per player).
- After the group stage, the top 2 players from each group advance to the playoffs.
Playoffs:
- Winner of Group A plays second place from Group B.
- Winner of Group B plays second place from Group A.
- Winners of the semifinals meet in the final.
- Losers of the semifinals play a 3rd place match.
🏅 Player Levels
All players are divided into 3 levels:
- Masters — experienced players with strong skills.
- Beginners — players with limited experience.
- Guests — players who are playing a football game on console for the first time.
🎯 How the level system works:
- If a Master plays a Beginner, the Master takes a weaker team (e.g., Rangers), while the Beginner takes a stronger team (e.g., Arsenal).
- If two players of the same level meet, they draw from the same pool (strong vs strong or weak vs weak).
- Guests choose any team they want, and their opponent always gets a weak team by random draw.
🔄 Status Changes After the Tournament
- In the playoffs, everyone plays as a Master.
- Players who do not advance from the group stage get Beginner status for the next tournament.
- Players who advance from the group stage get Master status.
This keeps the competition balanced and exciting from tournament to tournament.
💡 Special Note
Today we have 2 players who have never played football on a console. Please help them, explain the controls, and be friendly.
Our tournament’s main goal is social fun and connection — winning the title is secondary.
⚙️ Game Settings
- 2 consoles → 2 matches running at the same time.
- Match length — 4 minutes per half.
- Difficulty — World Class.
🏆 Prizes
- 1st place — 500 Kč cash.
- 2nd place — 2 drinks + chips (drinks can be swapped for non-alcoholic).
- 3rd place — pizza of choice.
💰 Participation Fee
- 350 Kč — pay directly at the bar (1 drink and 1 pizza per 4 people are included)
- Location: Simply 33, Prague.
- After arriving, go down to -1 floor — the gaming rooms are there.
